気鋭のビートメイカーOCTOPODによる夏に関連した楽曲を収録したコンセプトアルバム。インストルメント曲を主とした、様々な時間や角度から夏を綴った作品となっている。

「Hands and island」では、MEWTANT HOMOSAPIENCEのラッパーFUNIが参加。夏に韓国済州島を訪れ、島で起きた悲しみの事実を叙情的に表現している。
映画監督の金子雅和が、タイトル曲「It ends slowly in summer」から触発された物語を映像化しており、圧倒的な映像美は必見。
